Fixed bug that caused file upload problems in newly created albums.
Fixed headline spacing bug. Multi-line headlines now spaced properly.

Option added to interpret Bio and Misc as code rather than text.
Previously, a line break was added automatically at each hard return in the bio or misc. This had the distinct possibility of breaking html tags that broke over a line. There is now an option to treat the text as code, so that hard breaks are treated as white space, just like in regular html. Plain text with automatically added line breaks remains the default.

General clean-up of file reading to make sure files exist before reading.

Formatting Buttons added to text edit interfaces.

Also allows for auto-generation of html required for links and images.


Minor changes in underlying layout to facilitate use of html in text boxes, notably swapping of H1 and H2 tags, because I had them reversed, required changes in almost every code file.

The Web Machine may now be installed in a directory, rather an at root.

Compatibility with IE6 has been achieved by removing the shadow from the art and the transparent backing panel if EI6 is detected. Additionally, if you require compatibility, you should avoid using transparency in the foreground image. One trick is to composite the image over a background matching your selected site background.

Compatibility with IE7 has been achieved by shorting the flash player by seven pixels. For some reason, it required more space in IE7, and was dropping down below the image.

Blogger integration is complete. Access to the archive is now provided at the bottom of the news page.

Much of the code has been consolidated into a single module to make future updates easier to distribute.

A website for the Machine has been launched: http://www.cybertoys.org A link to this website has been added to the bottom of the links page.

Link Text and URLS may now be edited.
Links may be moved from one category to another.
Categories may be renamed.

Moving a link down no longer eats the rest of the links in the category.

Editing a News Item no longer adds an extra blank line at the bottom.

Lyrics now supported.

"lyrics" folder required, and there should be one text file for each song, in plain text, with the extension .txt.

Submit New Song and Edit Existing Song now allow you to either specify the file if it already exists, or upload one if it doesn't

Playlist input at Create New Album now stores full path to playlists.

Default location is "playlists" folder, which is now a required folder, as any editing of an album will write a new playlist there.

Bug Fix: Location of existing album art now stored properly when creating new Album.

Misc Name field removed from Manage Design, due to having been moved to Manage Menu.

Manage Menu added to Manage menu. All menu text is now user-editable, and case selection is avaiable for menus and page titles. "MISC name" function on the Manage Design page is now obsolete.

Album and Song Text:
Text entry areas for the following pages no longer require HTML
tags to create new lines. You may simply press ENTER to go to the next line:

Create Album

Music File Locations:
There has been a change in the album database that stores the name of the local folder (within your local Music Folder) in which songs for that album are stored.

When you create an album, you will be asked for a folder name. If your file are store somewhere else (not in your music folder on your server), you can enter the name "external".

When you upload songs to this album, they will be uploaded to the folder name specified when you created the album. Files cannot be uploaded to external servers.

Although this sounds complicated, it actually simplifies the uploading of songs, as you don't have to remember the name of the folder in which the files for a specific album are stored, as it is read from the database for the album into which you are uploading the song.

Music Display:
An option has been added to Create Album and Edit Album that allows you to select between two display styles for albums, Full, where the art and description for every song are show, just like the album display, or List Only, where the songs are shown in a condensed list with mini-players.

Music:
"Stream All" and album links disabled if there are no songs in the album.
The word "ALBUM" removed from the page head for albums for more flexibility.
Shadow disabled for song or album art that isn't there.

Manage Music:
Create album no longer replaces the first album with the new album.
Editing album no longer loses the artwork.

Manage Design:
Loading a new background or foreground in Manage Design now selects that file.
Changing menu bar height now adjusts location of the page head appropriately.

Manage Links:
Links added to the last category are now added properly.

Overall:
Links and graphics changed to absolute URLs to better work with templated systems.
Result: side graphic and menu links now work in integrated blogger, if present.
